Valley Beit Midrash is excited to introduce two new team members:
Becca Habalow, Engagement Director
Becca is excited to support the growth of Valley Beit Midrash in Denver! An east coast native, Becca grew up outside of Boston, MA but has been enjoying the rocky mountains living in Colorado for the past eight years. Becca graduated from the University of Vermont with a B.S. in Early Childhood Special Education and then received her MA. from the University of Colorado Denver in Educational Psychology. After spending several years as a classroom teacher at the Boulder Jewish Community Center, Becca began working as the Senior Operations Associate for the Springboard Fellowship at Hillel International where she currently supports early career professionals at Hillels across North America. Becca is passionate about building community and was a founding resident of the Moishe House in Boulder, CO. She currently lives in Denver, where she is looking to continue her involvement in the community and find more opportunities to volunteer and support grassroots organizations working towards justice. Becca enjoys cooking, gardening, yoga, and exploring new places for both skiing and hiking in Colorado.
Julia Sirota, Program Officer
Julia is passionate about both Judaism and social justice. She graduated from Brandeis University, where she served as the Hillel president. After college, she worked in advertising and marketing for NYC’s Broadway shows. Julia recently relocated to Arizona, where she works as a medical scribe and is applying to medical school. She is also a resident of Moishe House Phoenix.
