Amir Eden Joins Ofek Online School
Amir Eden has started a position as an online Hebrew and Israel’s history educator at Ofek Online School of the Israeli American Council.
Amir previously taught at Tucson Hebrew Academy as its Hebrew and Judaic teacher. He holds a B.A in Political Science and International Relations from Florida Atlantic University and an M.A in Educational Administration from San Francisco State University. He has taught Hebrew for eleven years, served as a 6th to 12th Hebrew Department Chair for four years, two years as a Middle and High School Principal, and six years as a K-12 Head of Judaic Studies, Hebrew, Jewish Life, and Israel connections. Amir is also a graduate of a RAVSAK (Jewish Day School Network) leadership training program as well as an Experiential program of Brandeis University.
Besides serving as a Jewish Educator, Amir served as the founding Regional Director of the Israeli American Council (IAC) in Las Vegas, Founding President of the Israeli Scouts branch in Las Vegas and was the Director of the Weintraub Israel Center in Tucson.
Gail Gilmartin has joined Traveling Vineyard as a Wine Guide.
Since 2001, Traveling Vineyard’s independent Wine Guides have offered free, relaxed in-home tastings of Traveling Vineyard’s exclusive wines. These informative and entertaining events allow guests to sample some truly delicious wines before they purchase, in an enjoyable afternoon or evening among friends.
Prior to becoming a wine guide, Gail worked for more than 20 years serving the nonprofit community through fundraising, event production and volunteer management. She has worked at Cortney’s Place, Horizon Health and Wellness, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Council for Jews with Special Needs (now Gesher Disability Resources), National Kidney Foundation of Arizona, Special Olympics Arizona and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
