Yom HaShoah is a day to remember those who perished in the Holocaust.
The Reading of Remembrance, when we read the names of those of our Jewish people who were murdered in the Holocaust, will take place on Thursday, April 16, the actual date of Yom Hashoah. We will be reading the names from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm at the Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus, 12701 N Scottsdale Road. Call Joan Sitver if you’d like to participate at 602-971-0012. Rabbi Abrams and cantorial soloist Pam Beitman will conduct a special service dedicated to Yom Hashoah Rememberance with guest speaker George Kalman at Beth Ami Temple in Paradise Valley on Friday, April 17 at 7:30 pm..
George was just nine years old in 1944 when his entire family was transpoted via rail car from his small Hungarian village to a Nazi slave labor camp in Austria. He spends much of his time talking to Arizona children as a speaker for the Phoenix Holocaust Survivors Association.

Temple Havurat Emet monthly service celebrates the B’nai Mitzvah of the 2015 adult class. Three very special women have been studying for their Bat Mitzvah for quite some time and are going to do what they might have been doing at age 13! Camp Swift Annual Carnival is a fun and free way to introduce Camp Swift to future campers and counselors. Teens in grades 7-12 are paired up with economically-disadvantaged kindergarten and first graders, and are invited to play carnival games, get their faces painted, jump in a bounce-house, and eat lots of freshly prepared BBQ food!

Parents’ Night Out Party (PNOP) at the Tucson JCC: Mystery Hunt
Parents can enjoy a night to themselves while the J-Care staff provides a fun-filled evening for their children. PNOPs include dinner, snack, games, dessert, field trip for ages 8+ and a movie with popcorn.
