John Coleman: Past/Present/Future @ Western Spirit: Scottsdale's Museum of the West

Images of American Indians infused with the history and mythology of the American West have made John Coleman one of the nation’s most highly regarded contemporary artists. This exhibition, made possible by Frankie and Howard Alper, provides an unparalleled opportunity to examine the career of this pioneering painter, sculptor and influential teacher. It includes creations in charcoal, graphite, oil and bronze, plus some works in progress. Coleman is an award-winning member of the Cowboy Artists of America, a Fellow Member of the National Sculpture Society and a Signature Member of the California Art Club.

A Palette of Fiber Arts @ Tucson Jewish Community Center

Come view the eclectic work of the Tucson Handweavers and Spinners Guild. Members’ talents include weaving, knitting, spinning, surface design, felting and book arts, just to name a few. JTO hosts Family Fun Day at the JCC @ Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus

The Jewish Tuition Organization (JTO) will host a Family Fun Day on Nov. 13 from noon to 4 pm at the Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus at 12701 N. Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale. The family event will have inflatables generously provided by Simon Kreisberger of The Play Factory, activities, carnival games, music by JMan Entertainment and a demonstration of the Israeli art of self-defense by East Valley Krav Maga. Admission is free and open to the community. Lunch is available for purchase.

Cycle for Good @ Tucson Jewish Community Center

The Tucson Jewish Community Center (the Tucson J) in partnership with Israel Ride, Ride for the Living and the JCC Association of North America’s Cycle for Good program will present several fundraising cycling events over the next eight months. Each ‘ride’ will raise money for various Tucson J programs and also for the JCC in Krakow, Poland. All rides will take place in the Tucson J’s Indoor Cycling Studio.

This event is a virtual ride sponsored by the JCCA of North America. All ticket proceeds will benefit The J’s Taglit Day program, helping support young adults with disabilities. This ride is one hour starting at 8:00 a.m., 9:00a.m., 11:00a.m. and noon. Tickets are $18 per hour.

Join us at Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona’s Northwest Division office for a one-hour get-together. We’ll have story time featuring PJ Library books followed by snacks. Every session has a different theme! We have guest readers and guitar players, seasonal crafts, outdoor play and more! Meet other Jewish parents, grandparents and caretakers. Most of our children are newborn through age 5, but all ages and abilities are welcome. Our group is growing and not complete without you!
