Preview Show – Art Trails & Heart of Tucson Art Fall Studio Tours

Artists’ Reception, Wednesday, October 18, 6 – 8 pm
Kicking off the studio tours, a preview show September 29 to October 18 will highlight the work of the artists in the two fall studio tours. This is a great opportunity to see examples of many artists’ work in one location.
JCC Fine Art Gallery Hours:
Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Friday & Sunday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Closed Saturdays and Jewish holidays.

Fall Butterfly Exhibit (Sept 30-Nov 19). 9:30am-5pm. Included with admission: $24.95 adults, $12.95 ages 3-17, ages 3 & under free. Butterflies and other beneficial insects join together for this fun new exhibit. From pollinators to predators, insects have amazing powers and play a variety of roles in the desert. Become a plant protector to support and help protect these beneficial insects. Join us every Saturday from Oct. 7 to Nov. 18, for family activities from 1 to 3 p.m. Activities change weekly and include Meet the Caterpillars, Garden Walks with a butterfly expert or learning about milkweed and the Great Milkweed Grow Out. Pumpkin and Chili Party (Thur-Sun Oct 5-29). 10am-9pm Thur & Sun, 10am-10pm Fri-Sat. $20, under 2 free (discounted tickets available at Fry’s food stores). Join us every Friday morning for a fun and interactive, parent-child class at Temple Kol Ami’s Early Childhood Center. Mommy & Me Rock Shabbat is a wonderful opportunity for parents and tots to have fun and spend quality time together in a warm Jewish environment.
Mommy & Me Rock Shabbat is open to all moms and their children ages infant to 2 years.
More than just a play group or social event, this teacher-led class offers a wealth of opportunities for moms to connect and share experiences with each other while their children learn and grow.
Typical Mommy & Me activities include:
- Jewish themes & songs
- Music & movement
- Arts & crafts
- Interactive, developmentally-appropriate Tot Shabbat
Come meet other moms while kids learn about group dynamics and prepare for pre-school.
Mommy & Me classes are just $5 per class (or $35 for a 10 class pass) for Temple Kol Ami members.
Non-members pay $10 per class (or $75 for a 10 class pass).

About the Teacher: Highly-experienced educator Rachel Schneider (our Rabbi’s wife!) leads Mommy & Me each week. Rachel has been teaching for nearly 20 years. She has taught preschool through 12th grade, most recently at Pardes in Scottsdale. She holds two master’s degrees: one from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and one from the University of Southern California. Rachel and her husband, Rabbi Jeremy Schneider, have four children ages 8, 6, 2, and 4 months old.
