Senior Chorus – Join with us as we create a group not only to have fun singing, but also to help “spread sunshine.” This group will build a repertoire of Broadway, Standards, Rock & Roll and more with plans to provide musical joy around the Valley.
Teacher: Dan Kurek, who has an extensive background in opera performance himself, and who has served as musical director for theatres throughout the Valley, as well as being the choir director at Temple Chai for 8 years.
JFCS HOSTS MEMORY CAFÉ
The Jewish Family & Children’s Service is hosting it’s first Memory Café event on Nov. 2 from 10 to 11:30 am at Beth El Congregation at 1118 W. Glendale Ave. in Phoenix. The Memory Café allows people with memory challenges, and their caregivers, to get together and enjoy enriching activities in a nurturing and accepting environment.

Mommy & Me Rock Shabbat is open to all moms and their children ages infant to 2 years.
More than just a play group or social event, this teacher-led class offers a wealth of opportunities for moms to connect and share experiences with each other while their children learn and grow.
Typical Mommy & Me activities include:

- Music & movement
- Arts & crafts
- Interactive, developmentally-appropriate Tot Shabbat
Come meet other moms while kids learn about group dynamics and prepare for pre-school.
Mommy & Me classes are just $5 per class (or $35 for a 10 class pass) for Temple Kol Ami members.

About the Teacher: Highly-experienced educator Rachel Schneider (our Rabbi’s wife!) leads Mommy & Me each week. Rachel has been teaching for nearly 20 years. She has taught preschool through 12th grade, most recently at Pardes in Scottsdale. She holds two master’s degrees: one from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and one from the University of Southern California. Rachel and her husband, Rabbi Jeremy Schneider, have four children ages 8, 6, 2, and 4 months old.
Fall Butterfly Exhibit (Sept 30-Nov 19). 9:30am-5pm. Included with admission: $24.95 adults, $12.95 ages 3-17, ages 3 & under free.
