The 21st Annual Hidden in the Hills Artist Studio Tour, which takes place from 10 am to 5 pm during the last two weekends of November (Nov. 17-19 and Nov. 24-26). A signature event of the non-profit Sonoran Arts League, the free, self-guided tour features 44 studio locations throughout the scenic Desert Foothills communities of Cave Creek, Carefree and North Scottsdale.
The J is Studio of the Month for November. Classes are located in the courtyard at the Scottsdale Quarter, behind True Foods. Classical guitarist Michael Lich will perform a concert of exciting Spanish and Latin music and Baroque-Contemporary. The performance will include works by Albéniz, Brouwer, Lich, Rodrigo and Scarlatti. Michael Lich (classical guitarist, banjo-player, arranger and composer) is an eclectic musician who performs a wide variety of musical styles including classical, jazz and bluegrass. Michael’s classical guitar career has taken him from Skagway, Alaska to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Busan, South Korea to Frankfurt, Germany. Michael currently is on faculty at the Academy of Music and Dance of Tucson/Oro Valley, Quest for the Arts and Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona.
