Northwest Community Event: Kristallnacht @ The Ruth & Irving Olson Center for Jewish Life

Join Rabbi Thomas Louchheim, from Congregation Or Chadash, as we remember Kristallnacht. Inbal Shtivi, JFSA Shlicha, will tell the story of her grandmother who was in a work camp in Libya during the Holocaust. We will be painting rocks with Anne Lowe and Carol Sack to honor the memory of friends and family who have passed away. In honor of Yitzhak Rabin Memorial Day in Israel, we will show the video: In Memory of Yitzhak Rabin Who Fell in the Battle For Peace.

Learn what fish to use, how to shop for it, store it and serve it. Explore poaching, steaming, roasting, breading, and sushi & sashimi. Students learn to roll their own sushi and learn the proper way to store, cook and serve fish. Prepare healthy sauces for fish and several other proteins.

Goat Yoga @ Tucson Jewish Community Center

Our mission is to create awareness and strength in the body, focus and curiosity of the mind with the addition of our goats to facilitate animal therapy. The goats help to further release stress, lift your spirits (oxytocin) and lower stress hormones (cortisol levels).  Join us for a joyous time laughing and interacting with our family of goats. Our class is great for beginners or experienced Yogi. Our goal is you leave with lifted sprits and energy of wellbeing.
Bring your own mat or a towel. Mats available for rent for $5 paid directly to Goats of Tucson (GOT) Yoga.
