Family Shabbat Israel Night

Share an interactive and upbeat Shabbat celebration for families, followed by an Israeli-style dinner, Israeli dancing and an Israeli trivia bowl. As with our past Family Shabbat service, we will welcome Shabbat with rhythm, with movement, with ruach and with song. Join us and make friends, build community, learn about Judaism, and have fun!

What is the Great Cloth Diaper Change?
A worldwide event with a goal to increase awareness of modern reusable cloth diapers. 2017 is the 7th annual event during which groups of cloth diapering parents come together to try to set a world record for the number of cloth diapers changed at one time. This mass change will take place on April 22 at 11:00 a.m. local time.
After the big change, stick around for information and entertainment as we continue the fun with an Earth Day celebration!

This unique, free spirited artist expresses herself through her eclectic body of work, and “life’s inspirational journey”. Parents, enjoy the night out while we entertain the kids! We have an evening of surprises in store with children pre-K-5 as they learn magic tricks, create their own cartoon flip-book, share jokes and watch the Cat in the Hat movie! The Israeli American Council Arizona will be holding a Mimuna on Saturday, April 22 from 8:30-11:30 pm at the Arizona Jewish Historical Society at 122 E. Culver St. in Phoenix.
Mimouna is a traditional festival celebrated by Moroccan Jews at nightfall on the last day of Passover and throughout the following day until sundown. Since the celebration coincides with the last day of Passover; breads, cakes and leavened breads previously prohibited from being eaten during Passover are particularly present in the celebration.
The IAC Arizona’s Mimuna will feature a community Havdalah service, traditional sweets reception, cash bar, live music, belly dancers, backgammon tournament, hookah lounge and more. This is an age 21+ only event.

Focused on introducing multi-sport to the next generation, the third annual Tucson Jewish Community Center (Tucson J) and Tucson Medical Center (TMC) will present a FUN family triathlon for the whole family on Sunday, April 23 from 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. This event is a partnership with Tucson Medical Center . The Shyann Kindness Project is the beneficiary of the Tucson Family Tri.
A fun event designed for Kids and their adult mentors or families to enjoy together! Non-competitive, participatory style triathlon will let young people get their feet wet in multi-sport. Unlike most other kid’s tris, adult mentors like a parent, friend, or coach can register for the event to swim, bike and run with their youth. This event is for everyone to enjoy a healthy day together and leave with a smile.
