Temple Kol Ami and the Valley of the Sun JCC present an evening with Italian, African American, Indian and Vietnamese American Jewish stand-up comedians!
Mike Capozzola, Gina Gold, Samson Koletkar and Joe Nguyen will share the stage and their own experiences about being ‘undercover’ members of the tribe! The show has sold out performances in the USA & Canada.

Fall Butterfly Exhibit @ Desert Botanical Garden

Fall Butterfly Exhibit (Sept 30-Nov 19). 9:30am-5pm. Included with admission: $24.95 adults, $12.95 ages 3-17, ages 3 & under free. Butterflies and other beneficial insects join together for this fun new exhibit. From pollinators to predators, insects have amazing powers and play a variety of roles in the desert. Become a plant protector to support and help protect these beneficial insects. Join us every Saturday from Oct. 7 to Nov. 18, for family activities from 1 to 3 p.m. Activities change weekly and include Meet the Caterpillars, Garden Walks with a butterfly expert or learning about milkweed and the Great Milkweed Grow Out. Desert Botanical Garden, 1201 N. Hidden in the Hills Studio Tour

The 21st Annual Hidden in the Hills Artist Studio Tour, which takes place from 10 am to 5 pm during the last two weekends of November (Nov. 17-19 and Nov. 24-26). A signature event of the non-profit Sonoran Arts League, the free, self-guided tour features 44 studio locations throughout the scenic Desert Foothills communities of Cave Creek, Carefree and North Scottsdale.

IAC – Thanksgiving Picnic Celebration @ Horizon Park Community Center

Join our IAC family & friends for a festive Thanksgiving Picnic community event !!

We will supply TURKEY & STUFFING, drinks and desserts!

Its up to you to bring yummy & delicious sides and salads to share !!!

Enjoy live music with Gal Drimmer, face painting, art & crafts, shesh besh competition (we have some but bring your boards!) and a crowd favorite, PIE THROWING with our very own Shahar!!

Bring musical instruments if you play.

This is a picnic style celebration. Please bring a blanket or folding chairs for your crew!

All is FREE !!! But you must register and have a ticket per peerson for entrance!!

This celebration is our way to say a big THANK YOU to our strong & vibrant Arizona IAC community !!

Celebration of Heritage Concert – November 19 Celebrating Spanish, Latin and Baroque-Contemporary Music @ Tucson Jewish Community Center

Classical guitarist Michael Lich will perform a concert of exciting Spanish and Latin music and Baroque-Contemporary.  The performance will include works by Albéniz, Brouwer, Lich, Rodrigo and Scarlatti. Michael Lich (classical guitarist, banjo-player, arranger and composer) is an eclectic musician who performs a wide variety of musical styles including classical, jazz and bluegrass. Michael’s classical guitar career has taken him from Skagway, Alaska to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Busan, South Korea to Frankfurt, Germany. Michael currently is on faculty at the Academy of Music and Dance of Tucson/Oro Valley, Quest for the Arts and Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona.
