The Tucson JCC and Congregation Chaverim present the
2nd NIGHT SEDER in the Tucson JCC Sculpture Garden
Saturday, April 23 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
The Tucson Jewish Community Center (Tucson J) and Congregation Chaverim present a special 2nd Night Seder in the Tucson J’s Sculpture Garden on Saturday, April 23 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $18 for adults and $12 for children (13 and under.)
The event is a festive celebration and includes a reading from the Haggadah and the tastes, sights and sounds of Passover with special gourmet Passover desserts. Rabbi Stephanie Aaron from Congregation Chaverim will lead us in this inclusive, extraordinary Passover in the beautiful Tucson J Sculpture Garden.
Open to the entire family. Please RSVP by April 18 to 520-299-3000 or by visiting tucsonjcc.org. Hurry tickets go fast!
Please note that the Seder does not include dinner.
In the first two years, this community Seder was held at the Tucson Botanical Gardens, where it was busting at the seams. The decision was made to move the event to the Tucson J where more people from the Tucson community can enjoy this Passover experience that is filled with spirituality and warmth.
The format of the evening includes traditional simplicity. A musical Havdalah ceremony will begin the event. In upholding the tradition of a participatory holiday, guests will read together from the Haggadah and each child will search for the afikomen and receive a special gift from Rabbi upon finding this Passover treasure after the service.
A music ensemble brings the event to life and Passover traditions will come alive under the clear sky of Tucson on a beautiful April evening. The complete reform ‘Promise Haggadah’ will be read from beginning to end in a one-hour service, and all the Passover Seder foods will be tasted. Upon completion of the Seder, guests will enjoy a gourmet Passover dessert spread including dozens of kosher for Passover delights!
Admission to the event is $18/adults & $12/children (under 13.) Please note that the Seder does include dessert, but not dinner. Advanced reservations can be made by calling the Tucson J at 520-299-3000 or by visiting tucsonjcc.org.

This lovely, tender drama is based on true events. Anne Frank is a Jewish girl in hiding during the Nazi occupation of Amsterdam in World War II. She, along with seven others, survive for two years in the sealed–off upper rooms of the annex of her father’s office building in Amsterdam. This is a story of courage, hope, and the triumph of the human spirit.
