Anyone Can Draw & Paint Student Works On Display
March 16-April 4
Artists’s Reception: Sunday, March 18, 2-4pm
Enjoy works from the Anyone Can Draw & Paint class at The J.
We celebrate Murray’s 20 years of teaching Anyone Can Draw & Paint at The J! The class celebrates the talents of this diverse group of artists of all ages and levels. Murray Keshner was Corporate Art Director for Funk & Wagnalls Publishing Corporation. He retired in 1994 and taught painting in New York and New Jersey. Artist’s Statement: “I believe that a work of art is a creative process that unfolds in natural manner. As I paint, I trust my instincts, so that the results are as loose as possible. Finding colors and shapes that are not necessarily true to nature make the painting a more personal experience. As I tell my students, ‘When you paint, you are the creator. You can move mountains and reshape the world.’”

To “Put Yourself into Someone Else’s Shoes” is a common expression used to describe truly empathizing with others. But we all know how very difficult it is. In fact it is probably the most formidable task we face as we strive to interact and even to help one another. All of us are so different and our life challenges are uniquely personal. At the reverse end we feel deeply hurt when we perceive that the next person is not “understanding” us. Join Esther and an eclectic group of Tucson women as they discover how Judaism shows us exciting ways to use our amazing “Power of Imagination” to effectively “put ourselves into someone else’s shoes” leading to a richer and more meaningful life for ourselves and those around us. The program is free and open to all women in the Tucson Jewish community.
Any one can join at any time.
Please call Esther Becker to register at 520-591-7680. She would love to have you join!
