Jewish Singles of the Valley (JSoV) will be attending the Summer Concert Series at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park in Scottsdale featuring Groove Merchants on Sunday, May 1, at 7:30 pm. The concert will be preceded by a Dinner at Wildflower Bread Company across the street from the park. The dinner starts at 5:30 pm. Jewish Singles of the Valley was started in February and is holding a calendar of events including social functions, cultural activities and entertainment for ages 40-plus.
All levels welcome. Men are welcome, too. Come join the fun!
Rabbi Robert Eisen leads these monthly group sessions using The Five Books of Miriam: A Woman’s Commentary on the Torah as the core for discussion. Topics can be interesting, insightful & inspiring. No charge to attend. Bring your own dairy lunch; beverages & dessert provided.
For active seniors ages 55 & up interested in a variety of educational and social presentations.
Valley residents welcom.

Learn about the law and lore in the “sea” of Talmud with Rabbi Robert Eisen as we dig deep into the “who, what, where, when, why and how” of living Judaism.
Is someone you know expecting a baby? Tell them to sign up for the Bureau of Jewish Education’s Jewish Baby University for Expectant Parents at Temple Chai. The class will meet 6:30-9 pm every Tuesday starting May 3 for six weeks.
Participants will learn the newest delivery techniques, care of the newborn and mother, selecting a pediatrician, and breast- and bottle-feeding. Jewish rituals and traditions associated with childbirth and newborns and Jewish parenting will also be taught.
Interfaith couples are encouraged to attend.
Focus is on increased balance, strength and flexibility in a supportive group setting. Meditation and deep relaxation at end of each class leaves participants with positive healing energy and uplifted spirits. Dress comfortably.
