Between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., children ages 4‒12 and their families are invited to learn the stories of the Western trailblazers by charting the trail of Lewis and Clark, crafting a personal journal to take home and learning about families of the Old West. Storytelling by living history interpreter Michelle Martin will take place at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. in the theater. Cost: $5 per person. Free to museum members. The Talmud is an extensive compilation of teachings and opinions of thousands of rabbis over the centuries, covering matters of Jewish law, ethics, philosophy, history, customs, and more. We are currently studying Tractate Megillah. Learn about the law and lore in the Talmud with Rabbi Robert Eisen as we dig deep into living Judaism. Open to all. No charge to attend.

Join Chief Curator Tricia Loscher as she discusses the compelling career of contemporary Blackfeet Indian artist Lone Wolf (Hart M. Schultz; 1883-1970), whose artwork bridged the diverse cultures of the Old and New West. The presentation will examine Lone Wolf’s significant role in capturing the accounts of the individuals and events that shaped the American frontier during the first half of the 20th century. For the Summer, Schmooze Young Families (20s-40s) is making a monthly stop at different Phoenix area splash pads for some nice cool fun outdoors! We’re kicking this off in June with a visit to the fun splash pad at the Scottsdale Quarter. Be on the lookout for the Schmooze sign to gather with other Schmooze members.
