The Arab-Israeli Conflict: Connecting Past with Present @ Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus

The Jewish Community Relations Council is hosting a lecture on Sunday, December 2nd – The Institute for Curriculum Services will educate Arizona social studies teachers with an additional presentation open to the community at a pre-event lecture. We are excited to welcome Dr. Suomala, an expert in the field who trains teachers throughout the country. The presentation will explore how decisions made by Western powers a century ago, especially during World War I, continue to impact what is happening in the Middle East today.

Dec 2 @ 12:00 pm

Have all your pets blessed by Rabbi Schneider and get your picture taken with them, too! Enjoy activities for people of all ages including a free BBQ lunch, a horse to pet, rescue animals to play with & adoption information, vendor tables (Like Gems4Paws, I Bejeweled, and Bracelets of Beauty by Betsy), mitzvah and craft projects like constructing a bagel bird feeder (led by the Bureau of Jewish Education), and animal masks to design (led by Pardes Jewish Day School). Information tables by animal organizations will also be present.

Temple Kol Ami’s annual Bless the Pets event celebrates the Animals that Light Up Our Lives. We have chosen the 2018 holiday season to shine the light on our animal friends, and will celebrate
Bless the Pets on Sunday December 2, 2018 at Noon with a fair, food, and fun!
This year’s event is even more important than ever before because Temple Kol Ami not only teaches children how to make a difference, but how to walk the talk—”Doing Jewish.” We want our families and our children to understand the importance of caring for all animals.
Entrance: FREE. Please bring a donation for animal rescue groups – food, towels, leashes, toys.
