MEGA EVENT-Meet Zach Braff @ Orpheum Theatre

More than 1,300 Valley Jews are expected to attend the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix’s MEGA Event on Thurs., Nov. 12. Each year, Federation hosts the MEGA gathering to strengthen and celebrate the Jewish community. This year’s event features an interactive Q&A with Scrubs star, actor, director, screenwriter and producer Zach Braff, and is held the Orpheum Theatre in Phoenix.

MEGA guests have the opportunity to ask Braff questions on a variety of topics, including his Jewish upbringing, his journey from Jersey to Hollywood, transitioning for acting to directing, his view of life and more. Maytal & Etzion from Israel’s The Voice will perform. Guests will also learn how Federation is helping Jewish in need and building vibrant Jewish communities in Greater Phoenix, Israel and in 70 countries around the world.

In addition to the main MEGA event, Federation is hosting a Business & Professionals pre-MEGA dinner, 5:30-7 p.m., and a NowGen post-MEGA party, immediately following the event.

Members of Federation’s Business & Professionals Groups: Cardoza Society, Chai Tech and Real Estate & Finance, are invited to a dinner at the law offices of Squire Patton & Boggs, featuring stunning sunset views. The law offices are located at One E. Washington St. in Phoenix.

Young Jewish adults are invited to a NowGen late-night after party at Bitter & Twisted, One W. Jefferson St. in Phoenix.

Both events are no charge and require a MEGA ticket for entry.

Reserved seats for MEGA are $100 per person for Downtown Seats, $75 per person for Uptown Seats, $50 for under 30 and $36 for students with valid ID. A portion of each reservation supports the Federation’s 2015 annual campaign. All l MEGA seats are assigned and must be reserved by Nov. 9 at megaevent2015.org.  Registration for the Business & Professionals dinner is also at megaevent2015.org.

Gil Hoffman is the chief political correspondent and analyst for The Jerusalem Post. Well-connected to Israeli and Palestinian leaders, Hoffman has interviewed every major figure across the Israeli political spectrum, has been interviewed by top media on six continents and is a regular analyst on CNN, Al-Jazeera and other news outlets. Called “the most optimistic man in Israel” by Israel Television, Hoffman’s writing and TV appearances provide a behind the scenes look at both the intrigue and humor in the Israeli political arena.

His visit will include a Shabbat dinner and presentation, and delivering the Shabbat morning D’var Torah and an afternoon presentation on Saturday. *RSVP & fee required by Nov. 9 for Shabbat dinner only – CAI members: adults $14, children $8; guests: adults $20, children $12.
