Rodeo photographer Mia Larocque shoots the action at the Tucson, Scottsdale, Payson (Gary Hardt Memorial) and Prescott PRCA rodeos, as well as the Arizona Cowpuncher’s Reunion Rodeo in Williams. Her fine art photography includes ranch and horse portraitures, and travel, scenic and cultural images. Mia reveals what it’s like to capture not only the emotion of rodeo, but the life outside the ring, framing rodeo as a way of life, not simply a sport.
In this program, she discusses her photographic career portraying the “true athletes of rodeo,” and her upbringing as a photographer by her mother, celebrated rodeo photographer Louise L. Serpa.
Frank Loesser’s timeless classic musical comedy comes to life in this tale of love and luck set in Damon Runyon’s New York. Audiences will thrill at the nostalgic score featuring songs like “Luck Be A Lady Tonight”, “If I Were a Bell”, “I’ve Never Been in Love Before” and “Adelaide’s Lament”.
