A Taste of Judaism @ Tucson Jewish Community Center

Temple Emanu-El is proud to offer A Taste of Judaism at The J. Rabbi Batsheva Appel and Cantorial Soloist Marjorie Hochberg will lead an open, interactive, family-friendly exploration of Judaism in three, two-hour sessions on Spirituality, Values, and Community. This free introductory class includes delicious “tastes” of traditional Jewish foods prepared by Temple’s Women of Reform Judaism. Child care and a complementary children’s program will be provided.

The class is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required. Call Abby Limmer at 520-327-4501 for information and registration.

Emergency Phoenix Town Hall Meeting: Gaza Border Crisis @ Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus

Join us to meet a mother, a young pioneer, and a farmer – residents of Gaza border communities – who will share their personal stories of living under attack, with hundreds of incendiary kites, balloons, and rockets steadily raining down on them. Hear about the needs in their communities and the issues they face on the ground: their experiences running to bomb shelters and sleeping in saferooms, their fears of a ruined economy, the ecological disaster, and their challenges dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) – both their children’s as well as their own.

Please note that for security purposes, government-issued photo identification will be required for entry. All bags are subject to search and absolutely no backpacks or large bags will be allowed.
