Holocausts by Bullets Exhibition @ Burton Barr Library
Feb 14 @ 9:00 am

The exhibition “Holocaust by Bullets 10 Years of Investigation” presents the results of Yahad-In Unum’s research in Eastern Europe.  It also underscores the “Holocaust by Bullets” as a precursor and model for mass murder crimes today.

The exhibit showcases the painstaking research uncovering the step-by-step nature of the crimes committed against Jews and Roma by the Nazi killing units.

The exhibition is built around the five steps of the crime identified by Yahad-In Unum researchers based on eyewitness accounts:

1. The Arrest

2. The Road

3. The Undressing

4. The Shooting

5. The Looting

The steps are described through quotes from eyewitness testimonies and through archival photographs. A short summary defining each step and highlighting the criminal nature of the Holocaust by Bullets are provided on a separate introductory panel.

CraySEA in Love @ OdySea Aquarium
Feb 14 @ 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Searching for that unique, “shrimp-ly” one-of-a-kind Valentine’s date night experience? Look no further than CraySEA in Love at OdySea Aquarium!

CraySEA in Love, OdySea Aquarium’s special Valentine’s evening event, runs from 6 – 10 p.m. on February 14. Guests 21 and older will dive deep into love (and laughter) as they enjoy the entire Aquarium (kid-free!) with a chef-crafted five-course strolling dinner, a bevy of craft cocktail options and live music from violinist Jonathan Levingston. Throughout the evening, guests will be treated to interesting—if not humorous!!— “Birds & the Bees Under the Seas” talks regarding courting behaviors, mating and love in the aquatic world given at various animal exhibits from OdySea Aquarium experts.

However, it’s the evening’s entertainment crescendo, “The Baiting Game,” that cannot be missed!  This hilarious adaptation of the old TV game show, “The Dating Game,” takes on a new twist with the help of a few of OdySea Aquarium’s Animal Ambassadors! A definite must-see!

“Why do the same-old, same-old for Valentine’s Day: dinner at your typical restaurant? Gahhh – dull and boring,” says Kim Horishny, Director of Guest Relations at OdySea Aquarium. “Elevate your Valentine’s Day experience, impress your significant other or come with all your best friends to OdySea Aquarium to celebrate love, romance, and friendship in the Valley’s most exciting, fun and entertaining way!”

CraySEA in Love offers a romantic setting for couples, surrounded by marine life and the ambiance of the Aquarium at night, while it is the perfect draw for the singles crowd with the high energy and enjoyment of a lively happy hour!  OdySea Aquarium is ‘o-fish-ally’ the best place for Valentine’s Day fun!

Ticket prices for CraySEA in Love (includes Admission and Dinner) are $40 per person or $70 a couple when purchased online at Odysea Aquarium’s website.  Tickets are available at the door for $45 for singles and $75 for a party of two. CraySEA in Love guests must be 21 years of age or older with valid ID
