Join the 2016 Spirit Team for “A Tree of Life for Those Who Grasp It,” two weeks of free, yeshiva-style learning with four dynamic rabbinical students from the Rabbinical Seminary of America in Queens, New York and Rabbi Israel Becker of Tucson’s Southwest Torah Institute and Congregation Chofetz Chayim. Sessions are offered from 9 A.M. to noon and 8 P.M. to 9:45 P.M. daily except for Shabbat. Music & Me! A parent and child music class every Friday morning at the EVJCC. Taught by Hannah Creviston, Assistant Professor of Music at ASU, she uses an innovative curriculum to aid in developing musical potential of young children ages newborn through 18 months.

Kids Night Out @ Arizona Sunrays Gymnastics & Dance Center
Aug 6 @ 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Bring the kids, ages 3 to 14, to the Arizona Sunrays Gymnastics Center where they’ll get to enjoy an exciting evening of gymnastics, dance, organized games, sports, jumping in a bounce house and on trampolines, obstacle courses, and then wind down the evening by watching a movie. The Kids’ Night Out is from 6 to 10 p.m. Cost is $30 per child with a $5 off sibling discount. Pizza, snacks and drinks are included. Advanced registration is required. $5 fee for same-day registration. There’s also easy online registration.

Jewish Singles Sunday Brunch @ First Watch

Jewish Singles of the Valley (JSOV), a social group for ages 40-plus, will be holding a Sunday Brunch on August 7 at First Watch, 13802 N. Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale. The Brunch is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Jewish Singles of the Valley was started in late February and is holding three to five events each month including social functions, cultural activities and entertainment. The group has already held Theater/Dinner events, Weeknight Dinners, Happy Hours, Sunday Brunches, Dinner/Concert events, Bowling & Pizza Night, and a Pseudo Seder, with plans for ice skating, hikes, discussion groups, game nights, house parties and more.
