Enjoy this performance and history of Jewish composers who wrote holiday standards. Join Desert Melodies for a holiday celebration to remember: Desert Melodies is Tucson’s most eclectic vocal cover group, performing on live piano and drums with fabulous vocals make Desert Melodies memorable and thoroughly enjoyable!Did you know that most holiday songs were written by Jewish composers: Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas”;  “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!” by Sammy Cahn (born Cohen) and Jule Styne (who also wrote “The Christmas Waltz” together); “Winter Wonderland” (composer Felix Bernard was born Felix William Bernhardt”; The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)” by Robert Wells (born Levinson) and Mel Torme; and much more!
