Speaker:  Stephanie Silverman Houser.  Writer and producer, Ms. Houser based a 7-minute film Becoming Henry on the book My Journey Through the Nazi Holocaust by Henry Oertelt.  We will see Ms. Houser’s film and hear her story of how a boat trip around the world led to this project.

“Read It & Meet” Book Discussion @ Congregation Anshei Israel

To Tell Our Stories: Holocaust Survivors of Southern Arizona @ Jewish Community Center

Members of the Tucson community will share dramatic and poignant accounts of their persecution at the hands of the Nazis, and of their perseverance and survival.
Learn how a new book — To Tell Our Stories: Holocaust Survivors of Southern Arizona — evolved, and how local schools now are using it in their curriculums.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase, with proceeds benefitting the Holocaust Program at Jewish Family & Children’s Services of Southern Arizona.
