“Whimsical,” “mystical,” “mythical,” “enchanting…” Tucson artists Christine Zabramny and Betty Seery have teamed up to illuminate our gallery. Zabramny’s dynamic compositions and Seery’s bright flowers invite the viewer to disappear into a world of color and light.
Images of American Indians infused with the history and mythology of the American West have made John Coleman one of the nation’s most highly regarded contemporary artists. This exhibition, made possible by Frankie and Howard Alper, provides an unparalleled opportunity to examine the career of this pioneering painter, sculptor and influential teacher. It includes creations in charcoal, graphite, oil and bronze, plus some works in progress. Coleman is an award-winning member of the Cowboy Artists of America, a Fellow Member of the National Sculpture Society and a Signature Member of the California Art Club.

Music & Me! A parent and child music class every Friday morning at the EVJCC. Taught by Hannah Creviston, Assistant Professor of Music at ASU, she uses an innovative curriculum to aid in developing musical potential of young children ages newborn through 18 months.
On select Fridays at 11am, enjoy music, a Shabbat lunch and a featured program. Get into the spirit of Shabbat and enjoy the friendship and fellowship of others. Advance registration required. Topics include: Nutrition Matters, Movement Matters, How We Use Our Minds Matters, Supplements Matter, Sleep Matters, Environmental Heath Matters, Nature Matters, Change Matters. Simply Well is a program developed by board-certified physicians Kathleen N. Mueller, M.D. and Gloria “Gigi” Dunn, M.D.
Your tuition includes your participation in this learning experience, along with that of a young woman of your choice. Your chosen woman may be your daughter, granddaughter, or young friend or neighbor. $500 for two people.

The Valley of the Sun JCC Shemesh Camp offers students grades K-8 a week of fun during fall break¸ Oct. 10-14.
Camp Shemesh is a fully licensed and serves grades K-5 with an array of age-appropriate activities taught and supervised by experienced staff.
Camp fun includes art, sports, drama, cooking, swimming, games and a field trip.
Shemesh Camp Fall Break is closed Oct. 12 for Yom Kippur. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Extended mornings and evenings are available.
