Jewish Family & Children’s Service presents its monthly Memory Café on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at Beth El Congregation, 1118 W. Glendale Avenue in Phoenix, from 10:00-11:30 am.  December’s special musical guest artist is The Sunshine Singers, the lively Senior chorus hosted by JFCS.

The Memory Café is a meeting place for those with changes in their thinking or memory, mild cognitive impairment or dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease or a related disorder, along with their care partners.  It is a place to socialize, relax, meet others and have fun through an arts activity.  Coffee and refreshments are provided.

The Sunshine Singers are led by Dan Kurek, whose talents include musical theatre as well as choir direction, voice lessons and operatic singing.  The chorus specializes in fun, familiar and interactive songs from the American Songbook, Broadway, folk and pop culture. Their performance is sure to spread sunshine to those attending.

There is no charge to attend, but registration is required. The Café is open to individuals of all backgrounds. To register or for further information, please e-mail kathy.rood@jfcsaz.org or call Kathy at 602-452-4627.

This month’s café is sponsored in part by Homewatch Care Givers, offering top quality home care for your loved one.  “Let our family care for yours.” www.homewatchcaregivers.com

Additional support for the Memory Café comes from the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Phoenix, the Arizona Commission on the Arts, and Beth El Congregation.
