Yom Hashoah Memorial (a Day of Remembrance) will be held on April 24, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Beth Emeth Congregation, 13702 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West, Az. In observance for this most important event, many local clubs, churches and synagogues will be represented. In addition to Rabbi Tracee Rosen who will lead us in prayers, we are pleased to have Pastor Bob Williams, Canon Timothy Dubeck, and Pastor Paul Neff. Our local Boy Scout Troop will honor us with their presence, as they read the names of the Concentration Camps. Any student who wants to learn about the Holocaust and the events that altered so many people’s lives forever, come join us.
This event is open to all.
Stories of their faith and courage will be presented by Gail Grossman, Ninia Kalish and Brenda Hyman. We shall also recognize the Righteous ones who saved many Jews during the purge of the Jews. They too, will always be remembered.
In recent weeks, we have seen an increase in anti-Semitism. We must come together as a community to once again say “WE WILL NEVER FORGET”. Let those who condemn us know that we shall stand up against them.
Please make your reservations by calling Sandy at 623-584-7210. Refreshments to be served. This is a free service, however, donations will be going to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC.
