Every year Handmaker Jewish Services for the Aging honors its “tenured” staff, staff members who have been working at Handmaker for more than five years. This year 50 staff members were honored. More than half of those have been at Handmaker for more than 10 years, and 6 of them for more than 20! Handmaker must be a great place to work to inspire that loyalty. Recently Handmaker announced another great reason to join the team; all full and part-time staff can get a free LG Smartphone, and an unlimited talk, text and data plan with T-Mobile at no cost to them!
After they have worked for one month at Handmaker, all full and part-time staff are eligible to receive a smartphone and T-Mobile plan. Those who stay employed for at least six months can keep their phone at no extra cost even after they leave Handmaker.
The new smartphones were handed out at a special staff appreciation event in early November at Handmaker, which featured refreshments catered by Handmaker and visiting T-Mobile representatives to help with the phone activation.
All fully-vaccinated Staff members at that time were entered into a raffle drawing for two Staycation packages. Steve Hunt, VP of Operations, drew the names of Nahid Nematollahi and Dail Shields as the lucky winners!
Over 100 staff members have already received their phones, and they’re happy to get what amounted to an early holiday bonus, in addition to their regular holiday bonus!
Handmaker is currently hiring CNAs, LPNs, RNs, Certified Caregivers, Program Leaders, Unit Assistants, Receptionists, Food Service Employees, and Housekeepers. Those interested in applying can do so online at Handmaker.org.
