A DAY OF REMEMBRANCE
Beth Emeth Congregation of the West Valley, 13702 W Meeker Blvd., Sun City West will hold a luncheon and ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 12 noon to commemorate and pay tribute to the fallen heroes of Sept. 11, 2001. The Civilian Air Patrol will present the colors and Rabbi Leo Abrami will open the tribute with a prayer, followed by reading of scriptures by Rabbi Shelley Moss, Reverend Deanne Self Price and Pastor Stephen Beyer. The Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona Northwest Division is holding a Mah Jongg Tournament and Silent Auction on Sept. 18 at 190 W Magee Road #162, Tucson. Parkinson’s disease experts from the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute offer a free course for people with Parkinson’s disease and their families.
