Salt water is only four and a half hours away.  Puerto Penasco is Tucson’s Beach and was ALMOST part of Arizona!  Jacques Cousteau called the Sea of Cortez the “aquarium of the world.”  We’ll discuss the incredible Gulf of California and the environmental issues facing this unique biotic community. We’ll learn about the Monterey Bay Aquarium sponsored, Sea Food Watch program.  We’ll also learn about the beloved La Vaquita, the world’s smallest porpoise, and it’s struggle for existence.
