Wine on the Vine Partners with JCCs Across America

Wine on the Vine (WOTV), the flagship program of The Israel Innovation Fund (TIIF), which allows for the planting of grapevines in top Israeli wineries, announced today new partnerships with Jewish Community Centers across the United States to work together on selling grapevines. The JCCs partnering with WOTV on this pilot program are the North Miami Beach JCC, Tucson JCC, Bender JCC of Greater Washington, and East Valley JCC of Phoenix.

For $18, Wine on the Vine allows one to plant a vine in the name of a loved one for a variety of occasions.  According to the new partnership terms, a portion of the $18 vine purchase by JCC members will go directly to their community’s JCC to support programming, events, and other community initiatives. The JCCs will be working with WOTV to introduce and educate their community on this new way to connect with Israel and support their community.  Vines can be planted in nine Israeli wineries including Bravdo, Carmel, Gush Etzion, Herzberg, Maia, Psagot, Tabor, Tulip and Yatir.

“The Bender JCC of Greater Washington is thrilled to partner with The Israel Innovation Fund to offer Wine on the Vine to our community,” said Michael Feinstein, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bender JCC of Greater Washington.  “We are committed to strengthening the connections between our community and Israel and we believe that Wine on the Vine, an innovative concept to plant grapevines to support Israeli wineries, is a perfect vehicle for bringing more of Israeli culture to our community.”

Wine on the Vine launched in September 2018 as the flagship program of The Israel Innovation Fund, a non-profit with the goal of rebooting Zionism by spreading Israeli culture around the world.  Wine on the Vine focuses on awareness of Israeli wines and the importance of planting grapevines in Israel. In addition, through Wine on the Vine, TIIF offers financial support to Israeli social charities that are selected for their innovation, efficiency, and impact.

“It is such a great pleasure to begin the expansion of Wine on the Vine with these four local JCC communities,” said Adam Scott Bellos, CEO and Founder of The Israel Innovation Fund. “We welcome these partnerships and are so impressed by the leadership of these four JCCs who have expressed deep commitment and excitement for Israel and to rebooting the Zionist spirit in their communities through Wine on the Vine. We look forward to working together with them on this test pilot program, and to expanding the program to more JCCs across the US.”
