Images of American Indians infused with the history and mythology of the American West have made John Coleman one of the nation’s most highly regarded contemporary artists. This exhibition, made possible by Frankie and Howard Alper, provides an unparalleled opportunity to examine the career of this pioneering painter, sculptor and influential teacher. It includes creations in charcoal, graphite, oil and bronze, plus some works in progress.
