FIDF Provides 12,700 Israeli Soldiers with Rosh Hashanah Gift Cards

In preparation for Rosh Hashanah, and at the height of the economic crisis following the COVID-19 Pandemic in Israel, Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) is providing Holiday Gift Cards to some 12,700 soldiers in need and Lone Soldiers currently serving in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) so they can celebrate the holiday without financial worries.

Around 9,100 soldiers in need and Lone Soldiers will receive Holiday Gift Cards worth NIS 600, or about $175; and about 3,600 soldiers from low-income families will receive Holiday Gift Cards worth NIS 300, or about $88. In total, FIDF will be donating NIS 6 million in gift cards, or $1.75 million. This is an increase of about NIS 2 million from the previous year.
