Lost Tribe offers unique Israel experience with a focus on gaming

Lost Tribe, a nonprofit that connects Jewish teens through gaming and new media, announced today Lost Tribe’s Israel Journey: Tech & Gaming, a first-of-its-kind Israel travel experience that will appeal to teens’ interests around gaming culture, new media and content creation.

The program is a partnership between Lost Tribe and BBYO, the leading pluralistic Jewish youth
movement in the world and a top Jewish travel provider. Together, they have created a new Israel travel opportunity especially for teens interested in video games, digital media, and content creation to connect to peers, their Jewish identity, and Israel.

This trip, scheduled for July 5-26, is intended for teens currently in 9th, 10th and 11th grades.
Participants are eligible for a $3,000 travel voucher through RootOne, a new initiative that helps connect thousands of Jewish teens to Israel by lowering the financial barrier to participation in immersive summer trips to Israel and by investing in the educational quality of those experiences.

Lost Tribe’s Israel Journey combines educational and impactful visits to sites in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, the Golan, the Negev, and more, with behind-the-scenes experiences in Israel’s booming tech and gaming scene. Participants will meet Jewish professional esports players; advance their skills in games like Fortnite using proprietary coaching and technology; explore tools and innovations to help game
streamers, content creators, and influencers increase engagement on platforms such as Twitch and
YouTube; and compete with Israeli teens in popular video game titles at live events.

“Lost Tribe is engaging thousands of teens through gaming and Jewish content on platforms like Discord, Twitch, YouTube and TikTok,” says Lenny Silberman, Founder & CEO of Lost Tribe. “We have seen countless friendships built through gaming on our platform, and now we are creating an opportunity for these virtual friends to meet and compete in person in Israel.”

Prior BBYO participation or membership is not required to attend this trip. Program costs include housing accommodations, meals, program experiences, ground transportation and security. For more information, visit Lost Tribe’s Israel Journey: Tech & Gaming on the BBYO Passport website.
