Greatest Hanukkah on Earth!XVII – Making Miracles @ Temple Emanu-El

Celebrate the miracle of lights with the torch lighting of our giant menorah, then a Hanukkah spectacular with music, songs, dance, skits, hilarious parodies, stories and more. For the finale we all light our own menorahs together. The Greatest Hanukkah on Earth! show is free and open to all. Following, the Temple Men’s Club caters a scrumptious kosher Hanukkah dinner with brisket and latkes, salads and desserts. Dinner of $25 for Temple members, $29 for non-members, $8 for kids 4-12, free for kids 3 & under; prepaid reservations required.

In “Shelter,” a Mossad agent is sent on a mission to protect a Lebanese informer while she recovers from plastic surgery. What should be an easy assignment quickly turns into a labyrinth of espionage and intrigue inside a safe house.

The film is part of an Israeli movie series held at the East Valley JCC, 908 N. Alma School Road, Chandler. Admission is free, donations are appreciated.

Yet, a closer look at the demographic trends in the U.S., reveals that within this population concentration, Jewish inter-regional migration rates are on the increase.

Join Michael Weil, economist and one of the Forward’s 50 most influential Jews in America to learn more about how modern Jewish geography relates to our survival.
