Join us on the 3rd Night of Hanukkah to celebrate the “Festival of Lights.” Enjoy dinner with latkes, pasta, salad & ice cream; candle lighting; crafts; a skit called “The 8 Candles” with CAI’s Junior USYers; a concert and sing-a-long with CAI’s Adult & Youth Choirs led by Cantorial Soloist Nichole Chorny; and more.
Celebrate the miracle of lights with the torch lighting of our giant menorah, then a Hanukkah spectacular with music, songs, dance, skits, hilarious parodies, stories and more. For the finale we all light our own menorahs together. The Greatest Hanukkah on Earth! show is free and open to all. Following, the Temple Men’s Club caters a scrumptious kosher Hanukkah dinner with brisket and latkes, salads and desserts. Dinner of $25 for Temple members, $29 for non-members, $8 for kids 4-12, free for kids 3 & under; prepaid reservations required.

Everyone is invited to come dressed in costume for this festive occasion! Four bounce houses, carnival games, prizes, street artists, popcorn & cotton candy for the kids; Hurricanes/beer for those 21+.

Whether USY is new to you or you’re in Kadima moving to Junior USY, or Junior USY moving to Senior USY, this is going to be fun! Enjoy pizza & age-based experiential activities & stations. Plus: Senior USY advisors will lead attendees in the human “hamster ball” & “Capture the Flag.” It’s all free, but we ask that you RSVP to Rabbi Ruven Barkan by Apr. 14.

Jewish Family & Children’s Service presents its Monday Movie Matinee featuring the 1979 film, “The Frisco Kid” starring Gene Wilder and Harrison Ford.
The event will take place on April 9 at 12:30 p.m. at the Bureau of Jewish Education on the Ina Levine Jewish Community Center Campus, 12701 N. Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85254.
Also starring Ramon Bieri, Val Bisoglio and George DiCenzo, this Robert Aldrich-directed film follows a Polish rabbi who wanders through the Old West on his way to lead a synagogue in San Francisco.
Max McQueen, former film critic for the East Valley Tribune, will host a discussion session following the film.

As the Phoenix Pride Parade approaches on October 22nd, Temple Chai members are donning Jewish Pride t-shirts and getting ready to join the procession. They’re holding a special pride Shabbat on October 20th and invite all to join in the festivities.
